Pale pink, lily-of-the-valley like, spring flowers are followed in autumn by attractive red berries. This rare and drought-tolerant prostrate evergreen shrub hails from California. A dense ground-covering plant is well dressed in dark green leathery leaves the size of a five cent coin. ‘Wood’s Red’ is happy in a well drained position in sun or light shade even in poor soils and is drought hardy once established. It will eventually make a plant some 15cm tall by 80cm across.
