Aster x frikartii ‘Monch’
One of a very few Easter daisies to get through the past torrid months unscathed this fine plant is in flower from late January until near May in our vegetable garden where it grows with herbaceous hibiscus. I imported this Aster from Hannays of Bath about 25 years ago. It differs from the Aster x frikartii which Dennis Norgate used to grow, in its taller growth and darker violet-mauve flowers. It gets watered about once a fortnight at Lambley. Sun. 75cm x 80cm.
