Softer and more nearly true blue than other Salvia nemorosa types this is a wonderful addition to the group. Gentle mauve-blue flower spikes are produced on a tidy low growing plant from spring until winter. Like all the nemorosas, we cut this to the ground during winter and also when the first flush of flowers starts to look tired in midsummer. Salvia ‘Blauhugel’ flowers for more than 20 weeks in our dry climate garden and was a stunning element in our massed plantings of Salvia nemorosa hybrids under our pear walk. 35cm x 35cm. Frost hardy to -20C.
