A compact, hardy Salvia with soft pastel-pink flowers, delicately flushed with deeper pink and set against dark purple-green calyces. A long-flowering Salvia, producing its pastel blooms from spring through autumn and often continuing into winter in warmer, sheltered positions.
Forming a neat, bushy shrub around 50–80cm tall and wide, it has attractive mid-green foliage with a pleasant aromatic scent when brushed. A useful plant for a sunny border, cottage garden or container, and particularly good for attracting bees and butterflies.
Grow in full sun to light shade in well-drained soil. Water well while establishing, after which it is drought tolerant. Lightly prune after flowering to encourage fresh, bushy growth.
