An elegant form of ornamental carrot, grown for its delicate, lacy flower heads in shades of white, dusky pink and deep burgundy. Held on slender, branching stems above finely divided, fern-like foliage, the flowers bring a light, airy quality to the garden and are particularly lovely woven through mixed borders or grown in the cutting garden. A wonderful choice for adding subtle colour and texture to summer arrangements, the flowers are also attractive to beneficial insects. Flowering late spring through to autumn and growing from 100-150cm tall.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil. Water regularly while young to encourage a strong taproot. Once established, plants are quite drought tolerant and need only occasional watering during prolonged hot, dry spells. Allow the soil to dry between waterings and avoid overly rich or consistently moist conditions. Give support if growing in an exposed position. Allow flowers to mature and set seed if you would like them to self-sow.
Supplied in 3” pot
