The Canyon Sage is native to west Texas and New Mexico in the US and south into Mexico. In nature, it grows on dry hillsides and canyons. In the Lambley garden it sends up fine 30cm tall stems clothed in small glossy green leaves and topped from spring until late autumn with showy purple flowers. A gently suckering plant, S. lycioides is as tough as they come. Very drought tolerant when once established. 30cm tall by 30cm across.
