Jurisic sage is rare both in gardens and in nature, where it is threatened by agricultural development in the North Macedonian steppe to which it is endemic. Unlike any other Salvias, it has finely cut pinnate, silver-olive-coloured leaves. These leaves well-clothe a dwarf bushy shrub-like plant. Strong upright stems carry whorls of hairy, dangling mauve flowers. Happy in any sunny spot it tolerates drought well when established. Height in flower 60cm width 40cm.
