Pycnosorus globosus ‘Paintball Globe’
This Australian native has a wide distribution in the eastern half of Australia. ‘Paintball Globe’ has much larger flower heads and taller and stronger stems than the wildling. Although bred for the commercial cut flower market it is an easily grown perennial. From clumps of grey grassy evergreen foliage 90cm tall stems carry extra large balls of warm yellow flowers. Each flower head last a good two weeks if cut for a vase. ‘Paintball Globe’ will flower from quite early in the spring until well into the summer. Height in flower 90cm width 45cm.
