Pea, Sugar Snap ‘Cascadia’ (Pisum sativum)
Peas are cool season crops and best sown from May (or April in mild coastal regions). Cascadia is a vigorous, climbing sugar snap and needs a trellis or tepee to grow on. It has excellent flavour but is not resistant to powdery mildew. Plant seed 10 to 12cm apart. Not for Tasmania.

Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.

Directions: Cascadia, being a vigorous climbing pea needs the support of a 180cm tall trellis or tepee. Peas are a cool season crop to be planted from June to September.
