Whilst making a vigorous mounding groundcover the maidenhair vine is mostly used as an exceptionally beautiful hedging plant. It can be kept as narrow as 30cm wide if clipped regularly and can grow up to 2 metres tall. The small dark green leaves are produced on thin creeping, twining stems. It does need a wire frame to twine around. It is tough and needs very little extra irrigation when once established.
