An attractive, mat-forming hen and chicks with neat rosettes of lime green foliage, each leaf richly flushed and edged with warm cinnamon red. Fine silvery webbing across the leaf tips adds another layer of texture and interest, particularly when viewed up close. The intensity of the colouring changes with the seasons, becoming richest in full sun and cooler weather.
Like all Sempervivums, this is an hardy and drought-tolerant succulent, perfectly suited to dry climates. It gradually produces numerous offsets to form a dense colony, making it an excellent choice for rockeries, gravel gardens and containers. In summer, mature rosettes are topped with clusters of soft pink, star-shaped flowers.
