This was bred by the late Kazushige Ozawa. It is so exquisite that a single flower is picked and placed in a small vase at traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. As well as being a terrific cut flower it makes a great garden plant. It doesn’t climb like most other clematis but should be allowed to scramble through shrubs or spill down a wall or bank. The 5cm long plum-mauve-blue bells with reflexed tips are produced from late spring until mid-autumn. Needs morning or full sun. This clematis has the most exquisite flowers of all the flowers in our garden. 60cm tall by 80cm wide.
