Ceanothus ‘Blue Sapphire’
We’ve grown Ceanothus ‘Blue Sapphire’ in the same spot, a hot dry bank, for the past twenty-five years. It looks as good as ever. It makes low gracefully arching stems covered by small dark green, almost black, glossy leaves. The whole mound is smothered by dark blue flowers in spring. The flowers attract a great diversity of pollinators. This is one of the best low growing shrubs in our garden. Sun loving, tough and drought tolerant. Not suited to humid coastal regions north of Merimbula. 100cm x 150cm.
