A graceful annual with broad, lacy umbels of tiny white flowers held on tall, branching stems above finely divided, fern-like foliage. Flowering over a long period, it brings a soft, airy quality to summer borders and is particularly lovely threaded through a mixed planting. An excellent cut flower, the delicate white blooms combine beautifully with garden roses and other summer flowers, adding lightness and movement to arrangements.
Growing 100-150cm in height it does best in well-drained soil in a sunny position. Handle seedlings with care when planting to avoid disturbing the roots. Water regularly while establishing and during dry spells. Ammi ‘Casablanca’ will self-sow if the flowers are left to set seed. Remove spent flower heads to prevent unwanted seedlings.
Take care when cutting, as the milky sap may irritate sensitive skin. Gloves are a good idea when harvesting.
