Watermelon Radish

Large round radish with unique pink flesh. It has a very sweet mild taste. Sow mid to late summer summer as earlier sowings will run up to seed.

 

When to sow: Summer and autumn
Where to sow: Direct sow in 5 to 8cm wide bands
Depth to sow: 1cm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add   lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: Thin to 4 or 5cm; Between rows: 30cm
      

Directions:  Plant small quantities regularly so as to harvest the year round.
