Calceolaria integrifolia ‘Kentish Hero’

Whilst this RHS Award of Garden Merit plant looks as though it would be happier in a conservatory than in the garden it is both hardy to the frosts of winter and the heat of summer. It makes an evergreen shrub clothed with crinkled, dark green leaves and carries many flowered heads of russet orange pouch like flowers for months from late spring until autumn. ‘Kentish Hero’ grows happily in any sunny or lightly shaded spot as long as it gets extra irrigation during dry times. 40cm-50cm.
