Classically shaped, bright carmine-red flowers some 10-12cm across have contrasting lemon stamens. ‘Ville de Lyon’ will bloom for many months from late spring until early autumn on moderately vigorous vines. As ‘Ville de Lyon’ flowers on the current year’s growth, cut down to 15-30cm during winter. Besides making a great plant to cover a fence or trellis or clamber through trees and climbing roses ‘Ville de Lyon’ will perform well in a large container.
