The warm, earthy tones make it a lovely addition to the late-summer and autumn cutting garden. Its branching stems carry slender, wheat-like plumes in shades of terracotta, copper and dusky rose, bringing colour and texture to the garden and to floral arrangements. The flowers are also useful for drying, retaining much of their colour for winter displays.
Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Celosias enjoy warmth and are sensitive to cold, so sow or plant out once the soil has warmed. Water regularly during dry spells, avoiding waterlogged conditions. Pinch out the growing tips when young to encourage branching.
Height 100–120 cm.
Supplied in 3” pot
