The Chaste Tree is one of the most beautiful, most spectacular of all summer flowering shrubs or small tree. Drought tolerant, it makes a splendid display of fragrant lavender blue flower panicles for more than two months during summer and into autumn. Whilst unpruned it may grow 3-4 metres high by 2-3 metres wide its habit of flowering on new wood means that it can be cut hard back and kept to a manageable 160-180cm tall by 180cm wide. ‘Shoal Creek’ is an especially fine selection.
