This gem, which grows wild in Korea and Japan, is one of the joys of the garden. A myriad of exquisite pendulous lilac flowers with a tuft of cream stamens are carried on wiry, branching stems. When the first summer flush of flowers finishes this plant will, if dead headed, produce another cloud of flowers later in the season. If well grown in a sheltered humous rich position and moist position it will eventually grow 180cm tall with a spread of 60cm.
