This drought tolerant Germander, a native of the western Mediterranean, makes a dense twiggy grey foliaged little shrublet covered in summer with masses of magenta flowers on short spikes. It is a very tough, drought tolerant, heat loving Mediterranean plant with few wants except a light trim after flowering. For 30 years we have grown it in our dry climate garden as a shrubby groundcover under Yucca filamentosa. A decade ago we planted two mirrored double rows in front of roses in our flower garden. After they finish flowering we trim these plants into balls. 30cm x 45cm.
