This old-fashioned pin cushion was popular 40 years ago before new breeding for the mass market turned these shrubby Scabiosa into squat, plum pudding-shaped plants. ‘Blue Lace’ carries its large pale, silvery blue flowers on long stems over light green evergreen from spring until winter. Its blooms are more heat tolerant than other selections on the market which have been bred to look as smug as a bug in a 15cm pot. This sun loving plant is drought tolerant when once established. 50cm x 80cm.
