Scabiosa atropurpurea ‘Black Knight’
Whilst the species is perennial it is best treated as an annual to obtain the best display. Self sows readily. It carries its dark blood-red, almost black flowers, on 60cm tall plants. Plant undercover during early spring or straight into the garden in October/November. Space 30cm apart.
