A very handsome meadow sage, it makes flat rosettes of crinkled leaves from which metre-tall stems of deep violet flowers emerge. Happy in any sunny well drained spot which gets a little extra water during very dry spells, and it will rebloom after dead-heading throughout summer and into autumn. 100cm by 70cm.
