Salvia ‘Pennys Smile’
This is a terrific Salvia raised by the late Robin Middleton whose excellent webpage Robin’s Salvias is still online and is an excellent reference. ‘Penny’s Smile’, a seedling of Salvia ‘Silkes Dream’, is a long-lived hebaceous perennial which each year carries cascades of large pink flowers on metre-tall leafy stems. The flowers are held well above the foliage on 30cm spikes. Happy in any sunny, well-drained position and tolerates drought once established.
