Salvia ‘Blue Chill’
An excellent long-flowering salvia, ‘Blue Chill’ bears slender spikes of soft, icy-blue flowers above fresh green foliage. Its upright, well-branched growth produces a generous succession of blooms from spring through summer and often into autumn, bringing a cool note to sunny borders. Growing around 45–60 cm tall and 30–45 cm wide, it is equally at home among other perennials or in a pot, where its pale flowers provide a lovely contrast to stronger colours. Heat tolerant and reliable in warm weather, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established, it is reasonably drought tolerant but will benefit from occasional water in dry months. A wonderful attractant for bringing bees and butterflies to the garden.
