Called the Pasque flower because it flowers around Easter time, pasche in middle English. Be that as it may it the Pasque flower is one of the glories of spring. “…lovely great [white] starry cups with a golden tassel at their heart…” are carried on silky grey tufts of deeply-cut foliage. The silky seed heads are no less beautiful. Easily grown in any sunny, well-drained spot. 30cm tall by 30cm across.
