This plant gives the garden a strong vertical effect during and after flowering. 80cm tall, stiff stems carry whorls of talon like, deep lemon-yellow flowers for many spring and summer months. Large evergreen, felted, basal leaves are handsome the year round and make a dense weed proof ground cover. Although native to Turkey and Syria it does need an occasional watering during dry periods. Foliage mounds 20cm high by 70cm wide.
