Phlomis ‘Edward Bowles’
Such a superb plant and so rarely offered ‘Edward Bowles’ is one of the glories of the genus. A hybrid between Phlomis fruticosa and P. russeliana it is greater than its two parts. It makes a tough evergreen shrub, some 90cm tall by as much wide, clothed in large leaves, felt green at the top and silver underneath. Stiff grey stems carry whorls of two toned lemon, talon like flowers for the many weeks of spring. Drought resistant when once established it will be a terrific asset to any garden.
