Perovskia atriplicifolia ‘Filigran’

Filigran Russian Sage

This variety of Russian Sage was a gift to Lambley from New Zealand nurseryman, Ian Duncalf. Smaller-growing than others of its kind it has intricately-cut, lace-like leaves and typical long spires of dark violet flowers. The flower spires are held above the leafy stems in this drought-tolerant, sun-loving plant. Planted in drifts it is a wonderful addition to the garden designer’s palette. Conventionally this plant is rated as tolerant to minus 30C; in practice it will withstand all frosts that Australia has to offer and sneers at the harshest drought. 80cm x 80cm.
