Penstemon ‘Blackbird’
Hybrid Penstemon are amongst the best and most long flowered evergreen perennials. P. ‘Blackbird’ has long, dark wine purple flower tubes on stiff leafy stems. Dead head during the growing season and cut back to 40cm during winter. When new growth is about 30cm tall cut all old spent stems right back to the base. Drought tolerant but best when given some extra irrigation during dry periods. Sun. 90cm x 90cm.
