Parsley ‘Giant of Italy’
A real giant but with wonderful Italian parsley flavour this is the variety which has amazed visitors to the nursery with its size and productivity. I plant seed on bottom heat early in the spring and outside in the garden after mid-November. Parsley will sometime bolt if seed is planted in soil which is too cold.
When to sow: Late winter to early autumnWhere to sow: In pots or direct sowDepth to sow: 5mmAspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.Spacing: Between plants: 30cm Between rows: 30cm
Directions: For early plantings sow seed on bottom heat and plant out when big enough. Plant seed straight into a prepared garden bed from November until autumn. Parsley can bolt if seed is planted in soil which is too cold.
