This Hydrangea carries large heads of pale, almost sky-blue flowers if grown in acid soils. When the flowers age they turn to lovely crimson tinted green flowers. ‘Mathilde Gutges’ makes a large plant almost 2 metres tall by as much wide and is so covered in flowers that its foliage is almost hidden. Best grown in light shade, but happy enough in a sunny spot as long as the soil is kept moist. 200cm tall x 180cm wide.
This hydrangea varies in color depending on the pH of the soil.
