Helleborus ‘Penny’s Pink’
This hybrid between H. niger and H. orientalis combines the best features of its parents. It makes a compact plant carrying masses of flowers, soft pink at first but soon deepening to a darker shade of pink, held well above the foliage, from mid-winter to well into spring. The flowers occur in a central bunch, are outward and slightly upward facing and are a deep burgundy. 40-50 cm tall by 50cm wide. Whilst best grown in dappled to quite deep shade Hellebores will thrive in a sunny spot if kept well-watered.
