Stria is both beautiful to look at and terrific to eat. The medium sized round fruit have white striped purple skin. Early to crop and prolific this variety topped our eggplant trials last season. It holds well after picking too.
When to sow: Early September indoors; plant out mid-November
Where to sow: In a 7.5cm pot
Depth to sow: 1/2 cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants 50cm; Between rows 90cm.
Directions: Plant 2 seeds in a 7.5cm pot on bottom heat during early to mid-September thinning to one plant after germination. Put the plants out into the garden in mid-November.
