Digiplexis have done very well here at Lambley in a north facing border, although they would be just as happy in a little light shade. Whilst needing regular summer watering they are tough and, in our experience, problem-free. They are frost-hardy in most if not all Australian gardens. Last year in our own garden they were in flower from late spring until mid-autumn. 80-90cm high by 50-60cm across.
Digiplexis ‘Berry Canary’
This breakthrough cross between Isoplexis and Digitalis carries large pink trumpets, each with a cream throat speckled with burgundy, on strong, densely packed 90cm-tall stems. It will flower longer than each of its parents and is happy in any sunny or lightly shaded spot which doesn’t parch during summer.
