Striking and elegant, Delphinium ‘Black Eyed Angels’ produces graceful spires of pure white flowers, each centred with a dramatic black bee. Some blooms display solid dark centres while others carry delicate striping, creating a captivating variation that adds to the charm of this beautiful selection.
Growing to around 1–1.2 metres, Black Eyed Angels is a wonderfully proportioned delphinium for the perennial border. Its distinctive colour combination makes it a standout feature amongst other perennials, while its reliable growth and strong flower spikes make it equally suited to garden enjoyment and cut flower arrangements.
Beginning its display in late spring and continuing well into autumn, Black Eyed Angels offers months of graceful colour in the garden. With prompt removal of spent flower spikes, it rewards the gardener with further blooms. At Lambley, we cut our plants back after the first flush in early January and are rewarded within weeks with a fresh succession of elegant flower spikes.
