The best Lebanese cucumber in our trials for non-trellis production. Very quick to produce and incredibly productive this variety has uniform crops of dark green crisp fleshed fruits for all of the warmer months. A couple of plants will keep a household going. Fruits 50 days from transplant.
When to sow: Early September indoors or mid November to mid-December in situ.
Where to sow: In a 7.5cm pot or direct Depth to sow: 1/2 cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants 40cm; Between rows 120cm or on trellis
Directions: Sow one seed to a 7.5cm pot on a hot bed during early September and plant out in November. Sow a later crop in situ in mid-November to mid-December. Plant 40cm apart in a 120cm wide bed or grow on a trellis.
