Ceanothus ‘Blue Cushion’
Ceanothus ‘Blue Cushion’ has “…abundant pale blue flowers in button-like clusters from late winter until mid-spring.” Arching stems well dressed with small, dark, glossy evergreen serrated leaves form a dense ground cover some 90cm tall by 200cm across. We made a planting of Ceanothus ‘Blue Cushion’ on a hot north facing bank more than twenty-five years ago. Except for watering them when we first planted these plants have had no extra irrigation. They sailed through the years of the Millenium Drought without batting an eye.
