Aster ageratoides ‘Mason Reed’
Native to montane habitats in China, Korea and Japan the balsam aster is a clump forming perennial which produces its Easter daisy flowers during mid to late autumn. ‘Mason reed’ is a fine selection with deeper violet blue flowers than the type. Easily grown in any sunny spot it will grow around a metre tall and need 60cm wide.
