Anemone x hybrida ‘Dainty Swan’
The underside of the petals of the white flowered ‘Dainty Swan’ are mauve-pink. This hybrid between the autumn flowering Anemone hupehensis and the spring flowering A. rupicola has a much longer flowering period than Japanese windflowers flowering as it does from mid-spring until well into autumn. As it doesn’t run at the feet like Japanese windflowers and grows only 50-60cm tall by 40cm wide, this Anemone is ideal for smaller gardens. Best grown in dappled shade which isn’t allowed to parch during dry periods.
