‘Southern Gem’ is a compact form of Australia’s native hibiscus. Much tidier than older varieties, growing 1.5 metres tall by the same across, it makes a show of its large, rich purple hibiscus like flowers from spring through to autumn. Happy in any sunny well drained spot and quite tolerant of drought when once established this is a very fine selection.
