Beautiful pale pink single hollyhock flowers are held on 150-180cm tall stems. Dark green, rugose leaves cloth the bottom third of the stem. It is best grown in full sun and allowed space to breathe so that its strong vertical lines can be appreciated. Whilst called the Turkish Hollyhock Alcea pallida can also be found growing wild in south west Europe and north Africa. It is resistant to rust in our climate but is likely to suffer if grown in sub-tropical or tropical areas of Australia.
