Catalina Humming Bird Trumpet
This beautiful form was collected on Catalina Island off the coast of Southern California. In Zauschneria trials at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens (the leading botanic garden specialising in Californian plants) it was one of the best of 30 cultivars grown. Spectacular orange-red trumpets are complimented by its silver leaves. It makes a sub-shrub some 60cm tall by 100cm across. It flowers from mid-summer until late autumn.
