Dwarf Mexican Sunflower

A dramatic annual for hot dry spots with large zinnia like, vivid burnt scarlet-orange flowers up to 10cm across. Sow in situ when
frost danger is past in spring. Height 120cm width 60cm.

 

When to sow: After spring frosts are over
Where to sow: In permanent position in the garden
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: 30 to 50cm

   
Directions:  Sow 3 seeds per station some 30cm to 50cm apart when any frost danger is past in spring. Thin to one plant when true leaves appear. Height 150cm by width 60cm.
