Symphytum grandiflorum ‘Ascot Blue’

We use this extensively in our gardens beside the house on the path to the loo. For difficult shaded areas it is profoundly good. This is a fine soft light blue flowered form of ornamental comfrey. Tough, shade loving and tolerant of dryness when once established this will make a good groundcover for difficult shaded areas. During spring it carries 35cm tall stems carrying dangling bells of blue flowers. The evergreen foliage makes a dense weed proof groundcover. 35cm by 40cm.
