Sweetpea ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ (Lathyrus odoratus)

This Grandiflora sweet pea is intensely fragrant and produces masses of bicoloured pink and white flowers on good strong stems, making it excellent for picking. 200cm

Fragrance 4-5

When to sow: The end of February until August

Where to sow: Direct sow in the garden, or in small pots
Depth to sow: 8 to 12mm

If seed is planted at monthly intervals, flowers can be had from late winter until Christmas. A single planting will last two or three months as long as spent flowers are removed. Traditionally sweet peas are planted on St. Patrick’s Day, the 17th of March, but any time from the end of February until August is fine.
