S. striatum makes impressive clumps of upright blue-green sword shaped leaves. Soft lemon-yellow flowers are freely produced on strongly vertical stems during late spring and summer. A member of the Iris family from Chile this plant is happy in any sunny spot in the dry garden. 70cm tall by 50cm across.
