Senecio vira vira
I was going through Terang in south-west Victoria a many years ago and found this Senecio growing in a strip of neglected ground in front of a service station. It was flourishing even though unloved and unwatered. Makes a beautiful, rounded evergreen shrub with silver-white dissected leaves topped by soft lemon flowers. One of the best silvers and thoroughly hardy even though its native haunts are Brazil and Argentina. Sun loving and drought tolerant. 80cm x 100cm.
