Salvia ‘Celestial Blue’
Syn. Pozo Blue
This hybrid between two Californian species, Salvia clevelandii and S. leucophylla, makes a markedly aromatic grey leaved shrub which during spring and summer produces 40cm tall stems carrying whorls of mauve-blue flowers. Originally introduced to this country as 'Celestial Blue', consensus points to the possibilty that it may in fact be the cultivar 'Pozo Blue'. It is happiest in a spot in full sun. 150cm x 120 cm.
